anyone for cake balls?

While floating through the interwebs I stumbled across these lovely cakey goodies....

Red Velvet Cake Balls

made by Bakerella of www.bakerella.com  Don't they just look scrumptious?

Melee and I decided to try our hand at our own version of cake balls.

crumbled up cake goodness....

 Adding the frosting....

 making the balls....

 covering with chocolate and sprinkles...
The finished product. Not quite at Bakerella's standards!  But they are pretty cool to bite into - the chocolate cracks and the cake is all fudgy and gooey inside. mmmmm......

call 000 the dragons are on fire!

bbq'd at The Parent's place yesterday so that we could all watch the NRL Grand Final (thats Rugby League Football to those uninitiated, which is different to Rugby and different to football/soccer)

I'm not much of a sports fan, but my Dad is a die hard St George Dragons fan, has been for all of my life and most of his.

The last time that the Dragons won the Grand Final was in 1979, which apparently I watched with The Parent's but as I was only 1, I don't really remember.

Dad donned the red V and watched intently...

Through some sheer miracle, and the collective will of of their thousands of supporters (most notably my friend Hawwa who flew back from SA for the game) THEY WON!

Dragons 32 Roosters 8  Woohoo!

Nice happy dance Dad!

I am totally in love with this blog!

Such lovely designs, and beautiful printables.

testing... one two... testing

Is this thing on?

Can you hear me down the back of the room?

Good.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm up here to say yet. I'm sure it will become apparent the longer I'm talking. It usually does, cause I like to talk a lot.

So.... this my first blog post. Awk-ward! Oh, what to write, what to write?

I'm pretty down with living my life in a semi public way (hello facebook!), but this blogging thing is a whole new game. And I'm not finished reading the rule book yet. But I'm trying to live with a few less rules, and a lot less fear. Right then, here we go!

Hopefully this will be a mix of scrapbook inspiration, cross stitch designs, and snippets of me, out in the world... just trying to live.breathe.dream.be.
